 ഇന്നലെ രാത്രി ദുബൈയിലെ ജബല്‍ അലി ഇന്‍ഡസ്‍ട്രിയല്‍ ഏരിയായിൽ പൊടുന്നനെ ഉണ്ടായ തീപ്പിടുത്തംതീർത്തും അണച്ചതായി അധികൃതര്‍ അറിയിച്ചു. ചെറിയ തീപ്പിടുത്തം മാത്രമാണുണ്ടായതെന്നും ആളപായമൊന്നും റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടിട്ടില്ലെന്നുമാണ് ഔദ്യോഗിക അറിയിപ്പ്.

ബുധനാഴ്‍ച രാത്രിയായിരുന്നു സംഭവം. ജബല്‍ അലി ഇന്‍ഡസ്‍ട്രിയല്‍ ഏരിയയിലെ ഇലട്രിക് കേബിളുകളിൽ
നിന്നാണ് തീപിടിച്ചതെന്ന് ദുബൈ മീഡിയാ ഓഫീസ് പുറത്തിറക്കിയ വാർത്താ കുറിപ്പിൽ പറയുന്നു. അതേസമയം പ്രദേശത്ത് നിന്ന് പൊട്ടിത്തെറിയുടെ ശബ്‍ദം കേട്ടതായി സമീപ സ്ഥലങ്ങളില്‍ താമസിക്കുന്നവര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. രാത്രി 9.30ന് ശേഷമാണ് അപകടമുണ്ടായതെന്നും നിരവധിപ്പേര്‍ സാമൂഹിക മാധ്യമങ്ങളില്‍ പോസ്റ്റ് കളിലൂടെ അറിയിച്ചു. യഥാർത്ഥർത്തിൽ ഇന്ന് ഒരോ പൗരനും വാർത്താറിപ്പോട്ടർ മാരായി മാറിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന വസ്തുത സന്തോഷം പ്രദമാണു. ടെലിവിഷൻ ചാനലുകളിലും, വാർത്താ പത്രങ്ങളിലും ലഭ്യമാകുന്നതിനു മുൻപേ തന്നെ വിഷ്വൽസ് അടക്കം ലോകത്തെ സകലമാന ജനങ്ങൾക്കും അവ ലഭ്യമാകുന്നു എന്ന കാര്യം സ്തുത്ത്യർഹമാണു. സമൂഹ മാദ്ധ്യങ്ങളിൽ വാർത്ത എത്തുബോൾ തന്നെ ആവാർത്തകൾ സകലരും അറിയുന്നു...... ഒരു പൗരൻെറ ഓരോ ഫോണും അങ്ങനെ പ്രവർത്തന സജ്ജമാകുബോൾ അഴിമതിയും, കൈക്രീയകളും, ഗുണ്ടാപീസും കുറയുന്നു.

അതേസമയം കഴിഞ്ഞ വര്‍ഷം ജൂലൈയില്‍ ഉണ്ടായ സ്‍ഫോടനത്തെ അപേക്ഷിച്ച് താരതമ്യേന ചെറിയ ശബ്‍ദമാണ് കേള്‍ക്കാനായതെന്നും പരിസരവാസികള്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. അന്ന് ജബല്‍ അലി പോര്‍ട്ടില്‍ ഒരു കപ്പലിനുള്ളിലെ കണ്ടെയ്‍നറിലാണ് പൊട്ടിത്തെറിയുണ്ടായത്. എന്നാല്‍ ആര്‍ക്കും പരിക്കുകളോ ആളപായമോ ഉണ്ടാവാതെ അപകടം നിയന്ത്രണ വിധേയമാക്കാന്‍ അന്നും അധികൃതര്‍ക്ക് സാധിച്ചിരുന്നു.
