വിട്ടയയ്ക്കണമെന്നാവശ്യപ്പെട്ടാണ് വിഴിഞ്ഞം തുറമുഖ വിരുദ്ധ സമിതി പ്രവർത്തകർ സ്റ്റേഷൻ വളഞ്ഞത്. സമരക്കാർ പൊലീസിന്റെ 4 ജീപ്പ്, 2 വാൻ, 20 ബൈക്കുകൾ, സ്റ്റേഷനിലെ ഓഫിസ് മുറികളിലെ ഫർണിച്ചറുകൾ തുടങ്ങിയവ നശിപ്പിച്ചു. വിഴിഞ്ഞം ഇൻസ്പെക്ടർ, അസി.കമ്മിഷണർ എന്നിവർ ഉൾപ്പെടെ 12 പൊലീസുകാർക്ക് പരുക്ക്. 2 പേരുടെ നില ഗുരുതരം.
കസ്റ്റഡിയിൽ എടുത്തവർ നിരപരാധികളാണെന്നും വിട്ടയ്ക്കണമെന്നുമാണ് സമരക്കാരുടെ ആവശ്യം. വൈദികർ അടക്കമുള്ളവരാണ് പ്രതിഷേധവുമായി എത്തിയത്. പൊലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനുമുന്നിൽ സമരക്കാർ തടിച്ചുകൂടി. നിരവധിപ്പേർ സ്ഥലത്തേക്ക് എത്തുന്നുണ്ട്.
