Not everyone has Wi-Fi; many rely on mobile data. It's difficult for everyone to visit and read what I post on the online platforms I mentioned above. Some complain that they don't know how to navigate those online sites to read. They suggested it would be great if I could send it via WhatsApp. It is difficult to send it to each person individually on their WhatsApp number. Reading and gaining knowledge should not be something you have to be dragged along to do. Those who have had the habit of reading since childhood will find the time to read, enduring any hardship. The tradition that grew in homes is magnificent. That is how I started sharing my writings on WhatsApp Status as well, for the past eight or ten years. For everyone who likes to watch or listen, there is YouTube.
3️⃣ Where does the imaginative creation of me, the writer, stand there? It is easy for those who do not like my writing style to just leave me. When they want to read something instantly at their fingertips, only FB and WhatsApp are available. I do not create clues for stories by stopping strangers on the street and asking, 'Tell me,' if there is anything affecting your life. When people talk a lot, many voluntarily open their hearts. That's when the sprouts and clues for stories fall away. I carefully engrave every spoken word in my mind.
My in-laws used to say that I was someone who didn't talk much to people, which was partly true. If their friends visited, I would ask their name, where they live, and where they work. After that, my conversation would end. Some people feel a great closeness to certain others. They desire to talk to them constantly. One can only call that the fruit of their birth star (destiny), or perhaps a connection from a previous life.
WhatsApp has the advantage of needing very little internet data. That is why I have been sharing copies of my published works on WhatsApp Status for the 590 people in my contact list for a long time. Many people read constantly. Some jealous people are not interested in my writing. Who is bothered about these things?
4️⃣ I have been in mobile phone technology since 1998. Since 1998, my children and I started using calls and the internet via mobile. I continued to use the same mobile number I received later, along with the BSNL special category landline phone in 1981. When the call list increased beyond measure, I changed the mobile number to remove a few people. Within five or six months, the call contact list increased again. Most of them are readers themselves. I might have to change the number once more soon. Or I am considering re-connecting that landline phone.
They would have to dig up the road to lay the connection, the iron pipe, and the wire. People will tear up and throw away the interlocking tiles. The Central Telegraph Act states that no one can prevent this. The Central Government Telegraph Act says that those who resist can eat the Kozhukatta (a soft reference to legal consequences/bribe/snack). Earlier, when the telephone had to be shifted, the Telephone Department laid connections like this in many houses. The interlocks are not allowed on roads taken over by the Corporation; the public path should only be tarred. Obstacles are also not allowed on the path.
The other day, while walking, I met four local residents, and during the conversation, they mentioned some things. I was shocked. There is truth in what they said. Some things will become a 'cross' tomorrow. Here, people are building and selling houses. The seller never looks back at the area. Many people buy and live in houses without proper accounting (recklessly). Because the construction work is not good, the residents have continuous work (repairs). There is no guarantee that such 'gimmick' houses will last even 40 years. For the issues that will arise in the future, none of the people who organize these parties and collect subscriptions will come to help anyone. Whatever that may be, I just wrote what I heard incidentally.
