പോകുന്നു ഞാനിപ്പോൾ പ്രഭാതത്തിൽ കാണാമെന്നാശയോടെ-

കാത്തിരിപ്പിൻ വ്യഥയും പേറി 

ഒറ്റയാനായ് ഞാനലയുന്നു.

ഇണയെ തിരഞ്ഞെൻ വീടിൻ ചാരത്തെത്തിയൊരീ-

ഇണപക്ഷിതൻ മനം 

ആരറിവൂ മിത്രമേ!

ജീവിതം ഹോമിക്കാനായ്, 

ഒരുങ്ങുമീ കിളി തന്നുള്ളം, 

എൻമുന്നിൽ തേങ്ങലായ്,വീണുടയുന്നൂ 

 നിമിഷാർത്ഥത്തിൽ.

പെൺമനം നാമറിയുക, 

വിട ചൊല്ലും നേരത്താവും, 

കനൽകട്ടയോ, നിൻ മുഖകാന്തിയോ,

എൻ മനമുരുകുന്നു!!!
