Do you know what fate awaits those who abandon humility? Take a moment to reflect. 📿 Centuries ago, historians speak of "Ubar," an Arabian city lost to the sands of time. The Quran recounts how the towering city of "Iram," adorned with pillars, was swallowed by the earth. Ancient chroniclers, both before and after Christ, have echoed tales of this metropolis. America’s Challenger satellite first glimpsed its ruins buried beneath the desert—a city commissioned by Sa’d ibn ‘Aad, a legendary figure in Arabian lore, who dreamed of crafting an earthly paradise. Ubar, with its gardens, orchards, and temples, was his vision of heaven.
Traces of its roads, once linking Mesopotamia, Rome, Alexandria, and the Mediterranean, remain etched in the sands. Yet, its glory crumbled when the fragile limestone beneath it gave way, plunging the city into oblivion. Science attributes Ubar’s fall to geology, but the Quran declares it divine retribution—a punishment for a people drowned in wine, arrogance, excess, and broken vows. Such tales of hubris and downfall echo across all faiths 🌍 Recent times bear witness to nature’s fury: tsunamis in Kerala, earthquakes in Japan, volcanic eruptions in Iceland, floods in Australia. Disasters strike without regard for language or prayer. Wealth offers no shield; a single wave could sweep away our pride. Let this be a reminder: **Live with grace.**
Speak kindly. Guard your thoughts, words, and deeds from causing pain. Let compassion and humility guide your tongue. Keep every promise, no matter how small. Avoid whispering of others in their absence. Truth and divinity walk beside us always.
